摘要

•The formation of H2S was responsible for the insufficiency of some micronutrients.•The high addition of Fe greatly reduced the H2S content in produced gas.•The lower the solution pH, the higher the produced H2S to migrate to the produced gas.•Sufficiency of all micronutrients was vital for maximization of methanogenic activity.
