Ethnic-racial education: a study directed in the production engineering course in a faculty of sao bernardo do campo

Abstract
The present research had as main objective to analyze how the discipline Ethnic Racial Education is applied by the Higher Education institutions of Sao Bernardo do Campo in the Production Engineering course, as a specific objective we sought to identify under the perspective of the students of one of the institutions to relevance of the discipline to organizations and society. The research was qualitative exploratory, based on the content analysis of the curricular matrices of the four institutions, and with field research applied to students from one of the institutions. The result showed that despite the existence of laws on the insertion of the theme in the content, one of the institutions does not present the content objectively, two of them insert in other disciplines and only one of them presents as a discipline. Regarding the students' perception of the discipline, everyone mentions that it brought a new vision and reflection on the importance of multiculturalism for organizations and for society.
