Abstract
•Benthic foraminiferal surface porosity, I/Ca, and authigenic uranium are most sensitive to low BWO concentrations.•Multi-proxy reconstructions in the modern Arabian Sea OMZ show consistently low BWO < 50 µmol/kg during the last 30 kyr.•Glacial BWO in the Arabian Sea OMZ may have been 10–15 µmol/kg higher than the Holocene.
