摘要
Comparison of Bolus Versus Dual-Syringe Administration Systems on Glass Yttrium-90 Microsphere Deposition in an In Vitro Microvascular Hepatic Tumor ModelJournal of Vascular and Interventional RadiologyVol. 34Issue 1PreviewTransarterial radioembolization (TARE) with yttrium-90 (90Y) microspheres has proven effective in controlling liver tumors and improving patient outcomes through radiation-induced cytotoxicity (1). The variables affecting procedural efficacy include average specific activity per microsphere, embolic distribution, and microvascular penetration of microspheres throughout the tumor (2). Ideally, a sufficient number of microspheres should be delivered to provide radiation coverage of all tumor cells but not so many that reflux to nontarget tissues and organs occurs (2,3).
