Credit-based Peer-to-Peer energy sharing mechanism under the distributed negotiation framework

•A credit-based P2P energy sharing mechanism encourages equal contributions of prosumers.•The introduction of the credit increases the sharing behaviors between prosumers.•The proposed mechanism reduces the energy cost of 25.5% compared with conventional mechanism.•The distributed negotiation framework based on ADMM can find an optimal sharing solution.•The prosumers can participate in energy sharing according to their preference settings actively.
