摘要

•TiO2 was used as a UV light-sensitive shell material for achieving immediate triggered release of OEO microcapsules.•UV irradiation were benefit to the OEO release followed a classical Fickian diffusion.•UV light could abate the thermal stability of microcapsules by the fracture of β glycosidic bonds.
