Abstract
Doppler frequency shifting will occur when the motion trajectories of low-orbit satellite and groud observation points are inconsistant. Nowadays, since various and mass requirements would be generated at anytime and anaywhere, a novel communication system that could support steady and effective communication over the world is expected. The satellite communication system is the most promising solution. HOwever, while building the system, the Doppler frequency shifting would dramatically reduce the performance. Even though some contributions are achieved in the studying of Doppler shifting, most of them focus on single satellites. The purpose of this paper is to research Doppler shifting on multiple satellites. Therefore, this paper overviews the related work to handle the state of the art. Moreover, the orbit formulas and communication signals attenuation phenomenon are decribed in a deep perspective. To verify the multiple satellites’ Doppler shifting phenomenon, this paper selects Nanjing as a representative region, and studies the behaviors of satellites over the Nanjing. The behaviors of satellite group that changing as the time are illustrated according to the statistics operation data and signal data.
