摘要

•We studied the switch from risperidone to paliperidone palmitate in patients with schizophrenia.•Switching to paliperidone palmitate improved social functioning and cognitive abilities.•Patients receiving lower paliperidone doses showed greater improvements in social functioning.•Reducing antipsychotic doses was associated with improvements in social cognition.
