•Multi-camera common optical path structure is proposed for the tomography of dynamic flame temperature.•The spatial object-image mapping relationship is established quantitatively by convolution method based on the Fourier optics theory.•Both the point spread function and the photoelectric conversion of tomographic imaging system are calibrated by experiments.•The spatiotemporal evolution of flame temperature is analyzed by the proposed method.
