Findings The incidence of local complications was higher in the non-octogenarian group. Mild acute pancreatitis was higher in the octogenarian group, while moderate acute pancreatitis was higher in the non-octogenarian group. There was no significant difference compared to severe cases. Message Contrary to what was expected, no significant difference was observed between the octogenarian and non-octogenarian groups in terms of serious events in the course of acute pancreatitis.
