摘要
Tannic acid is widely found in fruits, tea samples and other beverages. It is also used as a preservative to increase the shelf life of meat and fish fillets. In this work, simple and affordable neodymium (III) oxide nanoparticles embedded carbon electrode (Nd 2 O 3 @GP) has been developed for the detection of tannic acid. A three electrode setup has been used to assess the performance of the Nd 2 O 3 @GP electrode using cyclic voltammetry (CV). The cyclic voltammetry (CV) responses reveal that the developed electrode is successfully able to trace the presence of tannic acid. The linear working range of the electrode is found to be 5 to 200µM. The limit of detection (LOD) was found to be 0.7µM. This electrochemical procedure can thus be used in the detection of tannic acid in various food and beverages consumed in our daily life.
