Dual-mode Control Strategy of Cascaded DC-DC Converter Based on Thermionic Power Generation System

Abstract
With the aggravation of energy consumption and environmental pollution, renewable energy power generation technology has become a hot spot in the energy structure. And thermionic power generation technology with solar energy, radioisotope decay energy and reactor fission energy as heat sources has attracted much attention. In this paper, the application of thermionic power generation technology is studied. Firstly, the characteristics of thermionic energy converter are analysed. Then, dual-mode control strategy based on cascaded DC-DC converter is proposed. And the operation principle and specific implementation scheme are analysed in detail. Finally, a lkW principle prototype is built to verify the feasibility of the control strategy.
