摘要

•Melatonin and trientine were formed into a new compound melatonin-trientine (TM).•TM combines the functions both of antioxidant effects and chelate excessive metal ions.•TM decreases Aβ deposition in the brains of the APP/PS1 mice.•TM promotes APP non-amyloidogenic processing.•TM blocks tau hyperphosphorylation, neuronal degeneration, neuroinflammation, and oxidative stress.
