The development of the structure has been greatly influenced by technological advancement. The construction industry, which is USD 10.5 trillion globally, is perceived to benefit from the use of nanomaterials and nanotechnology quite significantly (https://www.researchgate.net/publication/280923884_CONSTRUCTION_INDUSTRY_STRUCTURE_IN_INDIA [13]). Recent advancements in the field of nanostructures improve the design and combat climate change to achieve environmental sustainability. The paper gives an overview of numerous academic studies on the use of nanomaterials and nanotechnology in building envelopes, their impacts on design, and the effects on the well-being of humans. This paper also gives an overview of the structural, aesthetically pleasing, and functional effects of responsive nanoparticles utilized in building facades and components.
