Ocean bottom node (OBN) techniques can be effectively applied in most survey areas because the nodes can be implemented in complex operation area and acquire high quality seismic data. Compared with the high cost of OBN acquisition, the cost of streamer operation is relatively low, while it is difficult for streamer vessels to carry out operation in the dense platforms and facilities survey areas, considering the operation safety and acquisition efficiency. To balance the data quality and acquisition cost, this paper introduces a technical design method which is conducive to obtaining the best seismic data in complex marine survey, combining streamer technology with OBN technology, by setting a small amount of ocean bottom nodes for the obstacle area data, and the towed streamer technology will be used for major area of the survey. Keywords: marine seismic survey, streamer, ocean-bottom node, designPermalink: https://doi.org/10.1190/image2022-3737772.1FiguresReferencesRelatedDetails Second International Meeting for Applied Geoscience & EnergyISSN (print):1052-3812 ISSN (online):1949-4645Copyright: 2022 Pages: 3694 publication data© 2022 Published in electronic format with permission by the Society of Exploration Geophysicists and the American Association of Petroleum GeologistsPublisher:Society of Exploration Geophysicists HistoryPublished Online: 15 Aug 2022 CITATION INFORMATION Yue Yue, Liu Haibo, Dong Fengshu, Chen Haolin, Luo Minxue, Xu Zhaohong, Li Yang, Xin Xiuyan, Wei Xiubo, and Liu Zhao, (2022), "A design case study for combined streamer and OBN survey," SEG Technical Program Expanded Abstracts : 80-84. https://doi.org/10.1190/image2022-3737772.1 Plain-Language Summary Keywordsmarine seismic surveystreamerocean-bottom nodedesignPDF DownloadLoading ...
