Correlation of phenotypic and genotypic virulence markers, antimicrobial susceptibility pattern, and outcome of Pseudomonas aeruginosa sepsis infection
Microbial Pathogenesis(2022)
摘要
•Immunocompromised patients are more likely to develop Pseudomonas aeruginosa sepsis than immunocompetent patients.•P. aeruginosa-causing sepsis was susceptible to almost all antibiotics tested.•The expression and distribution of virulence genes in P. aeruginosa causing sepsis infection was significantly high.•The most common virulence factors in P. aeruginosa sepsis isolates were the Alg D, Las B, and Tox A genes.•There was no significant correlation between virulence factors, antimicrobial susceptibility patterns, and sepsis outcome.
