Abstract
The COVID-19 pandemic has been the greatest challenge facing humanity today. The social sciences are a relevant field of research in the face of social, cultural, political and economic problems that arose and will arise as consequences of preventive isolation and the economic crisis caused. The interventional investigation aimed to advise local government management in the face of the COVID-19 pandemic in Villa Clara, Cuba. A qualitative approach was followed and a social intervention model was implemented aimed at the use of knowledge in the form of advice to government management. The results are presented as methodological and practical elements resulting from the experience of social intervention deployed within the framework of science-government articulation. The advisory work covered social prevention, Social Work, Integrated Community Work, communication strategy and government management.
