摘要
•Submodule (C2) was fused to the N- and/or C- termini of CMCase-I to produce variant glucanases.•The thermostability of the C2-CMCase-I chimera is 1.5 times greater than that of wild-type CMCase-I glucanase.•The chimera C2-CMCase-I forms a unique secondary structure.
