Operating limits and features of direct air capture on K2CO3/ZrO2 composite sorbent

摘要
•CO2 capture from ambient air was studied using K2CO3/ZrO2 aerogel sorbent.•CO2 capture from air was performed in TSA (temperature swing adsorption) mode.•The optimal TSA condition was obtained by considering CO2 dynamic sorption capacity.•High relative humidity decreases CO2 sorption efficiency of the sorbent.•The ATR-FTIR imaging revealed the migration of active species on the sorbent surface.
