A recent genome-Wide association study (GWAS) lookingfor the genes determining fingerprint andpahnar crease patterns disclosed one gene, among many others, which causes lymphedema (CELSR1) while others influencing tissue growth. Since digital fluid influences the height of the volar pads, influences oflymphedema on dermatoglyphics should be sought.
