Direct numerical simulation of taylor bubble with phase change

•Taylor bubble flow with phase change is studied using a state of art DNS method•Main heat transfer mechanism for Re<500 is thin film, for higher Re is bubble wake•Nusselt number peaks at Re=125 and decreases with increase of Re•Fr shows minor effect while higher Bo increases bubble expansion rate
