Abstract
Along with the rising environmental awareness and the concept of sustainable development, the impact of urban land sustainable development on natural environment is a primary issue to think of. The effect of environmental changes on human society and ecological environment cannot be ignored. With "Delphi method" and "Data Envelopment Analysis", the public data in the statistical annual reports of various prefecture-level administrative regions are used in this study to select indicators of input/output performance for data analyses and the reference for improvement. Aiming at prefecture-level administrative regions in Guangdong Province as the research objects, total 21 DMUs (Decision making units) are evaluated in this study. The research results conclude the following: (1) DMU presents strong efficiency on the environmental performance efficiency of urban land sustainable development, revealing the better mission efficiency of urban land sustainable development; 7 DMUs show the mission efficiency of urban land sustainable development between 0.9 and 1; and 13 DMUs appear the environmental performance efficiency of urban land sustainable development lower than 0.9. (2) Sensitivity analysis is applied to find out the critical factors in urban land sustainable development. According to the results to propose suggestions, it is expected to review and revise urban land sustainable development plans through the environmental performance assessment of urban land sustainable development to reduce and adjust the possible environmental impact in the future.
