•Latent profile analysis was applied to PISA 2018 data of Korean literacy teachers.•Four collaboration profiles linked to five instructional practices.•Almost a quarter of teachers fit the Assessment-centered Collaboration profile.•Higher collaboration suggests higher use of all five instructional practices.•The findings have implications for professional development leaders.
