Abstract
In this papper, we review various aspects related to the role played by the indigenous people (structure, actions, violence) in the riot that occurred in Mexico City in 1692, according to the work Alboroto y motin, written by the novohispanic Carlos de Siguenza y Gongora; Likewise, we focus on the true or simulated posture that Siguenza y Gongora observed when narrating their participation in the revolt.
