Around the parameters of primitive BCH codes

Let F-q be the finite field with q elements, and n, delta are positive integers such that 1 <= delta <= n - 1. The aim of this work, is to present the primitive BCH codes of length n and designed distance delta over the finite field F-q, and to give an overview about the recent results on the parameters of these codes, which cover minimum weight, bose distance and dimension. As applications of some results presented in this work, we use the SageMath program.
