摘要
A three-dimensional model of a copper plate in a continuous casting mold is established to investigate the influence of nickel coating with increasing thickness and arc-shaped water slots on its mechanical behavior. The results show that the von Mises equivalent stress and deformation of the copper plate present non-uniform characteristics . The maximum stress values of the inner and outer radius are 612 and 567 MPa, respectively. The maximum deformations of the inner and outer radius are 0.17 and 0.14 mm, respectively. Along the casting direction, the stress and deformation are small at the top of the mold and then gradually increase. They reach a maximum value about 100 mm below the meniscus and then gradually decrease and rise slightly at the exit. The average stress at the root of the deep-water slot is about 30–50 MPa larger than that of the shallow water slot, and the stress at the coating is relatively larger than that of the copper plate. The deformation gradually decreases from the surface of the coating to the cold surface of the copper plate. The model presented in this work can provide theoretical guidance and improve casting parameters.
