Task performance constitutes the criterion of group effectiveness that has received greater attention and it is very important to ensure the availability of valid and reliable measurement instruments. The present study aimed to analyze the psychometric properties of the Group Performance Assessment Scale (EADG - II), which assesses, based on leader perceptions, the performance of teams that carry out non-routine tasks. A self-administered questionnaire was used as data collection technique. Based on a sample of 173 team leaders of a Portuguese military nature security force, confirmatory studies (CFA) revealed a final model composed of 7 items, showing good adjustment to the data. Cronbach's alpha was .94. This study helps provide researchers and managers with a measurement instrument to assess group performance with adequate psychometric qualities.
