Performance evaluation of a real-time high-precision landslide displacement detection algorithm based on GNSS virtual reference station technology

•A set of GNSS monitoring and early warning algorithm mainly oriented to short-term landslide displacement is presented.•Significantly suppress the influence of various observation noises and gross errors and extract high-precision displacement.•Provide real-time landslide displacement detection at centimeter and subcentimeter levels.•VRS can replace physical reference station for real-time landslide monitoring.
