Structural, optical and electrical studies of chitosan/polyacrylamide blend filled with synthesized selenium nanoparticles

•Cs/PAM-SeNPs nanocomposites sample was successfully prepared using casting method.•XRD patterns show the crystallinity degree decrease with increase of SeNPs.•The optical properties were improved after doping SeNPs.•AC electrical conductivity measurement of the nanocomposites samples showed enhanced after doping of SeNPs.•The results showed that at 0.40 wt.% of SeNPs added polymer blend show high dielectric constant values .
