The effect of organic matter fractions on micropollutant ozonation in wastewater effluents

•Tested wastewater effluents have similar organic matter fraction compositions.•Tested wastewater effluents have similar interference with micropollutant ozonation.•Strongest interference is observed at kO3 values of 102 and 104 and 106 M−1 s−1.•Resin based organic matter fractions show differences in their interference.•Absorbance and fluorescence parameters correlate with micropollutant removals.
