Abstract
Optimal parameters (density, radius) of a cluster target and laser pulse (intensity, duration) were found using analytical modelling and 3D PIC simulations, which make it possible to obtain a quasi-stationary magnetic field with an amplitude of several GGs. It is shown that a field of such strength slows down the thermal expansion of the cluster in the direction transverse to the laser beam axis
