RBC interaction with endothelial cells: study using laser tweezers technique

This work aimed to measure the interaction force between single red blood cells and endothelial cells using laser tweezers and a microfluidic channel. We found that the cells interaction forces depend on the concentration of fibrinogen and other factors activating the interaction in the environmental medium. This finding is important for understanding the basic mechanisms of red blood cells interaction with vascular endothelium.
