Dynamic beam scanning metasurface with high reflectivity and independent phase control based on phase change materials

•Coated vanadium dioxide structure to achieve beam scanning in near-infrared band.•Continuous phase control of nano-resonator phased array at high reflectivity.•Single parameter voltage control spatial light modulator produces beam scanning.•Doping improves the optimal value of materials to achieve larger angle scanning.
