Biodiesel from First-Generation Feedstock

Biodiesel is produced by a transesterification process, having fuel properties comparable to those of mineral diesel. This method is also feasible from a financial standpoint. Finally, from the readers’ point of view, the challenges faced in the area are discussed along with the future trends that could pave a new horizon for biodiesel production.
