Symmetric calibration method of pendulous Integrating Gyroscopic accelerometer on centrifuge

•The closure errors in the complete error calibration model of PIGA significantly affect the calibration accuracy of PIGA.•The proposed symmetric position calibration method can suppress the influence of the disk centrifuge errors and closure errors.•The main error sources such as misalignments and installation errors could be automatically avoided by the symmetric position test.•The integer periods sampling of PIGA precession can restrain the sampling error and significantly improve the output accuracy of PIGA.
