Abstract
•Exposure to estradiol-17β in ovariectomized ewes tended to increase kallikrein specific activity in carcuncular tissue.•Uterine arteries from ovariectomized ewes treated with estradiol-17β for 24 and 48 h had greater sensitivity to bradykinin, via the bradykinin receptor 2, than uterine arteries from ewes with 0 or 12 h estradiol-17β exposure.
