Management of Rural Acute Coronary Syndromes (MORACS) A Cluster, Randomised Controlled Trial
Heart, Lung and Circulation(2021)
Abstract
Treatment of ST elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI) in rural settings is delivered by non-specialists and involves thrombolysis followed by transfer to a percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) capable centre. The first step in management is accurate diagnosis via electrocardiography (ECG). One third of STEMI however go unrecognised and untreated.
