Thực trạng chấp nhận tiêm vaccine phòng COVID-19 của cộng đồng huyện Sơn Tây, tỉnh Quảng Ngãi năm 2022

Objectives: To determine the rate of people who accept vaccination against COVID-19 in Son Tay district, Quang Ngai province in 2022. Subjects and methods: A descriptive, cross-sectional study using quantitative and qualitative study by interviews 366 people according to pre-designed questionnaires to learn about vaccine knowledge, assessment of beliefs and acceptance of COVID-19 vaccination. Results: The general knowledge about COVID-19 vaccine of the community in Son Tay district, Quang Ngai province was low (31.7%), but acceptance of COVID-19 vaccination still reaches a high rate (74.3%). The percentage of people who have general beliefs about approving vaccination was only 15.6%, but the number of people willing to inject it accounts for 85.2%. People had faith in the good signal of vaccination to take action (86.9%), and the benefits of the vaccine were high (79.0%); acceptance of vaccination regulations accounted for 84.2%; The lowest rate of people accepting the risk of unwanted reactions was 58.2%. The percentage of people under 30 years of age who accept and were willing to vaccinate due to the benefits and regulations of vaccination was nearly 88%. The difference in the rate of acceptance of COVID-19 vaccination had differences in gender, education level, ethnicity, and marital status (p < 0.05). Conclusion: The community's general knowledge and belief about the COVID-19 vaccine was still low, but the rate of consent was quite high (74.3%). Of which, 85.2% of people are ready to inject when a vaccine is available. The grassroots health care should have a specific plan to deploy vaccination for ethnic minority communities with limited educational attainment in order to increase community coverage of vaccines against COVID-19 in the new normal. * Keywords: Vaccine COVID-19; Acceptance of COVID-19 vaccination; Quang Ngai Province.
