Multiobjectives optimization in petroleum refinery catalytic desulfurization using Machine learning approach

•Optimization of the desulfurization process conditions by considering three objectives.•The objectives to be optimized are the minimization of the product’s sulfur concentration, percentage of SO2 emission, and total cost of the desulfurization process.•A hybrid artificial-intelligence-based approach was used to build the models.•Validating the findings using real experimental data.
