Population of Excited States in 45 Ti Nuclei in Charge Exchange Reactions in a 29-MeV 3 He Beam

— The charge exchange reaction ( 3 He, t ) is studied using target odd nuclei of 45 Sc and 197 Au at 29‑MeV 3 He beam energy. The angular distributions of the emission of deuterons and tritium in the 45 Sc( 3 He, t ) 45 Ti and 197 Au( 3 He, t ) 197 Hg reactions are studied. Experiments have shown that the maximum values of the cross sections for tritium emission reactions are achieved at angles close to the grazing angle. This indicates that the charge exchange reactions are of peripheral nature. The angular differential cross sections for the triton emission upon the population of the ground and excited states in 45 Ti nuclei are accurately measured for the 45 Sc( 3 He, t ) 45 Ti reaction.
