摘要
The present study investigates the microstructure, texture, and work hardening behavior of the hot rolled and homogenized Ni-24W-22Fe alloy. This alloy has a single f.c.c. phase microstructure with some annealing twins. Upon tensile test, the alloy showed unconventional strain hardening behavior which was determined to occur due to transition from single slip to multiple slips. The bulk texture measurement also confirmed the evidence of planar slip during the early stage of deformation. To further ensure the transition in slip modes, i.e., single slip to multiple slips, in-situ electron backscatter diffraction was performed, and evidence of the occurrence of slip transition was shown by grains having rotation path toward <112> direction. Grains of similar orientation were picked and found to rotate in different directions. Some grains rotate toward <112>, while others rotate toward <111> direction.
