摘要

•CoCu(1:3)-N-C-900 present good electro-catalytic reduction activity toward CO2 to CO and hydrocarbons.•A wider range of CO/H2 from 0.29 to 1.17 can be obtained by adjusting Co/Cu ratios.•The introduction of metallic Cu greatly boosts the adsorption of CO2 of CoCu(1:3)-N-C-900 and facilitates the transfer of electrons.
