Enantioselective Organocatalyzed Mannich Reaction between Benzothiazolimines and alpha-Benzylidene Succinimides for the Preparation of Chiral Benzothiazol Succinimides

A highly effective and selective bifunctional cinchona thiourea-catalyzed new enantioselective Mannich reaction between benzothiazolimines and alpha-benzylidene succinimides at allylic site has been developed and a series of chiral benzothiazol succinimides have been successfully prepared in good to excellent yields (up to 92% yield) with high diastereoselectivities (up to >20:1) and excellent enantioselectivities (up to >99% ee) under mild conditions
