Abstract
In this work, a double-coating structure of C/Cu/NiP microfiber composites is designed through electroless plating and calcination at 300 °C and 400 °C temperatures to increase the interfaces and dipole polarization and enhance the electromagnetic microwave absorption performance as high-quality light microwave-absorbing materials. The maximum reflection loss value of C/Cu/NiP microfiber composites after the calcination at 300 °C is − 45.9 dB at 11.9 GHz with 1.7-mm matching thickness and 3.0-GHz effective bandwidth. This work demonstrates that the double-coating structure of carbon-based multifunctional materials can effectively optimize microwave absorption performance.
