DYNAMIC SYSTEM SIMULATION MODEL IN INCREASING PRODUCTION AND SUSTAINABILITY OF SHALLOT AGRIBUSINESS AT LOWLAND AREA

Shallots have the potential to be developed, but they are not supported by appropriate institutions, policies and technology so that productivity, production and quality are still low. The marketing system is still not efficient, effective and fair, especially for structured markets. The purpose of this study was to understand and analyse the relationship between factors in increasing production and sustainability of shallot agribusiness in a system with a dynamic system approach. The dynamic system methodology is expected to be able to manage a complex and dynamic feedback system and then provide the best decision scenario. The simulation and modelling results show that the shade and heater technology scenario can increase production, per 10 days experiencing a well growth of around 77 percent. The growth rate and farmers' cash have increased at the beginning of about 5%, gradually reaching 48 percent by applying a processing industry scenario. The simulation results of this policy scenario can increase the added value of shallot farmers and also have an impact on the sustainability of shallot agribusiness.
