Abstract
Introduction: Endometrial adenofibroma is a common mixed tumor composed of epithelial and mesenchymal cells. This tumor must be distinguished from other malignant lesions of the uterus, especially adenosarcoma. Materials and methods: In this study, we report a case of a 28-year-old young woman. Pelvic magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) revealed an enlarged uterus with mass shadows in the endometrial lumen. Endometrial tumor and part of uterine lesion were removed by two operations. Results: When the uterus has a large area of hyperplasia and diffuse thickening, it should be considered a widespread lesion and surgical resection should be performed. Conclusions: Endometrial adenofibroma is a rare neoplastic condition and the best treatment is surgical resection. At the same time, we should also pay attention to the difference between other tumors and do not misdiagnose.
