Abstract
•The BINP develops a modular design of ITER diagnostic equatorial and upper ports in close cooperation with the ITER Central Team.•Long-term reliable vacuum tests of boron carbide ceramics have been performed.•The possibility of using large amounts of boron carbide ceramics in ITER diagnostic ports has been demonstrated.•The BINP prepared a set of technologies for production and an assembly hall for the integration of ITER diagnostic ports.
