Abstract
Eu 2+ doped Silicate lutetium strontium Sr 3 Lu 2 (Si 3 O 9 ) 2 (SLSO): m Eu 2+ (m=0.01, 0.015, 0.02, 0.03, 0.04, 0.05, 0.06) phosphors are got using solid-state reaction on 1350 ºC. We suppose there are three lattice sites , named Eu 2+ (I), Eu 2+ (II), and Eu 2+ (III) in SLSO: Eu 2+ , from the photoluminescence (PL) spectra, which is supported by decay curves. As Eu 2+ concentration increases, energy transfer (ET) strengthen. The mechanism was dipole-dipole (d-d) interaction. Besides, temperature-dependent photoluminescence of SLSO: 0.015Eu 2+ is investigated. The emission shifts blue with temperature rising. From the emission vs the temperature, the activation energy, ∆E, is ~0.289 eV. CIE coordinate is (0.16, 0.03) for SLSO: 0.015Eu 2+ . All those results show that SLSO: Eu 2+ , as a UV-LED blue phosphor, has possible application prospects.
