Isolation and Identification of Α-Glycosidase Inhibitory and Anti-Ev71 Virus Compounds in Ethanol Extract of Grifola Frondosa

In this study, three monomeric compounds were isolated and identified from the ethanolic extract of Grifola frondosa by using various chromatographic and spectroscopic methods, namely (1) methyl linoleate, (2) ergosterol and (3) adenosine. It is worth mentioning that methyl linoleate was isolated and identified from Grifola frondosa for the first time. Different in vitro experiments were performed on the isolated compounds to study their α-glucosidase inhibition and anti-EV71 virus biological activities. The result showed methyl linoleate have highly efficient hypoglycemic activity and anti-EV71 virus effect. Methyl linoleate and α-glucosidase and EV71 target protein have well performance in docking scoring and binding mode, and have strong correlation with protein. This study provides preliminary data on the application of Grifola frondosa.
