摘要

•The Twinkle helicase is the replicative helicase for mitochondrial DNA replication.•Mutations in the Twinkle gene can cause severe mitochondrial diseases.•We present a method for single particle cryo-electron microscopy (cryo-EM) of the Twinkle helicase.•A cryo-EM structure of the Twinkle helicase will aid in our understanding of mitochondrial pathogenesis.
